Disabled father of 6 children who is suffering from brain tumor appeals for support.
A 45 year old disabled father with six children who is suffering from a Brain Tumor/Cancer is appealing to the general public for financial support to enable him undergo through medical surgery at the KorleBu Teaching Hospital.
The victim, Agya Badu a resident of Akyem Nyankomase in the Birim South District of the Eastern Region is currently seeking for medical care on his Brain Tumor/Cancer challenge which have been with him for some years now.
Speaking to the correspondent in aninterview King Amoah in an interview, Agya Badu related that when the diesease started in the initial stage he wronged it for a boil until Doctors at the Akyim Oda government hospital confirmed it as a brain/ tumor cancer recently when he was admitted there for medical attention.
Agya Badu said the Doctors referred him to the Korlebu Teaching Hospital for surgery but because of financially constraint he hardly fulfilled the deal. and decided to contact his family members for the mission but that decision also failed to materialized.
He said the situation has forced out his six children from school and how to feed them has also become a different story to be told.
He added that her wife’s petty business has collapsed due to his (Agya Badu’s) current predicament.
According to him, inspite of his ordeal he managed to attend hospital at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital where Doctors assured to set him free through medical surgery.
He said the Doctors demanded that an amount of Fifty -four Thousand Seven hundred and Eighty three (ghc 54, 783.00) can help him to undergo through surgery operations before he would regained his normal health.
He said having no alternative hence his reliance on the Opera News Ghana to appeal to the general public, philanthropists, NGO’s and the well meaning Ghanaians to come to his aid for the surgical operations to take off at Korlebu Teaching Hospital.
Agya Badu further thanked the Assemblyman for the area, Hon Samuel Amankwah Jnr who is playing an effective role to mobilize funds for his surgery and being helpful to cater for his family at this crucial point of his life.
Agya Badu also particularly made a humble appeal to the Member of Parliament for Achiase Constituency, Hon. Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo (aka Chairman Marfo) and the District Chief Executive for the area, Hon. Elder Richmond Amponsah to come to his aid.
