Fix Our Classroom for Our Teachers to Resume Classes – Students

Some teachers of Wasa Dawuranpong Primary school in the WASSA Amenfi East Constituency of the Western region have called on the government to help them fix their partly damaged classroom blocks to enhance learning.

According to the students and resident who spoke to our correspondent, the state of the classrooms have been negatively affecting teaching and learning.

They reiterated that academics has to stop whenever it rains heavily.

Their pleas come after some teachers of the school had indicated their readiness to go on a sit down strike to express their worries to the school management and authorities in the community.

The residents and student have called on the Member of Parliament Hon Nicolas and the Hon MCE for Wasa Amenfi East Municipal Hon Frederick Korankye to come to their aid.

The PTA chairman of the school, Junior Abroso said he is worried about how some illegal minners are mining behind the school.

According to the PTA chairman the galamsey activities around the school make teaching and learning to become difficultb because of the noise from the illegal minners and at the same time they are also using the school Compound as the routes to their sites.

The PTA chairman went on that is he has informed the regional minister and the MCE of the municipal but no action has been taken yet .
