More Electoral Area Coordinators Join Collins Owusu Amankwah To File Nomination Papers… Promises Inclusive Management
Four out of the seven Electoral Area Coordinators from the highest voting communities of Krofrom East, Duase-Dote Quarry, Buokrom Estate and Moshie Zongo on Sunday, December 24, 2023 joined Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah, the foremost and two-time Member of Parliament (MP) for the Manhyia North Constituency to file his nomination papers, reports King Amoah, Editor-in-chief of this noble website.
On the day, the Mp gently appeared at the party’s office without much noise at 4pm to fulfill the requirement of the party’s election regulation.
In his quest to do a simple submission without any noise, the youthful former legislator was swarmed up by the enthusiastic Electoral area coordinators who had gotten wind of the filing process and time.
Presenting his documents, Hon Amankwah promised to abide by the rules and regulations that govern the internal contest of the party.
Receiving the forms, the constituency secretary, Mr Gyamfi Ameyaw thanked Hon Amankwah for fulfilling the requirement of the party regarding the picking and filing of nomination process.
He noted that the Elections Committee would communicate the date and time of vetting to all aspirants who by the close of nominations would have been able to file.
The Vetting process, he reiterated would commence from the 3rd to the 5th of January, 2024.
He stressed the need for the aspirants to conduct themselves properly in the lead up to the vetting process and afterwards so that the constituency could have peaceful polls on the 27th of January.
Speaking to the media, Hon Amankwah said he was seeking re-election to enable him finish the transformational agenda he started.
He indicated that the struggles he endured to have good and accessible roads must not go in vain but must be continued so that all the communities in Manhyia North can have their fair share.
He said the desire to continue the infrastructural projects he started including the stocking of public schools with ICT tools as well as the training of the youth in skills including that which would make them self employed.
“I promise to restore the constituency to the agenda where everyone mattered and had a say in the development process of their communities and to also create avenues of employment for the despondent youth and others so that Manhyia North can become a transformed society.
I mean inclusive administration where everyone would be given the opportunity to speak his or her mind for the sake of the development of the Constituency, Hon Amankwah assured.
