In a powerful sermon during the opening ceremony of the Faith Outreach Ministries’ Annual Prayer Conference, held on Sunday September 15, 2024 at the church premises at Anloga in Kumasi, Apostle John K Appiah emphasized a profound message for Ghanaians centered around the transformative power of the Word of God.
Themed “The Unchangeable God,” the conference is set to run until September 29, 2024, and aims to unite both local and international personalities from the Christian community in a spirit of prayer and worship.
Apostle Appiah in his submission observed that the Word of God is the ultimate source of liberty, prosperity, and a formidable weapon against the works of Satan.
He cited biblical scripture from the Book of Numbers (23:19), reinforcing the idea that God’s promises are unwavering and eternal.
The significance of this message is particularly relevant in a society where many may struggle with the challenges of life and spiritual temptations.
In his fervent address, Apostle Appiah lamented the plight of many individuals who, despite identifying as Christians, falter in the face of life’s adversities.
He suggested that the root of these struggles often lies in a failure to resist and cling to the teachings of the Word of God.
“The Word is the solution for everything,” he affirmed, calling upon believers to harness its power to navigate life’s storms.
Prosperity, security, peace, protection, and long life, according to the Apostle, are not just mere aspirations, but promises that can be attained through unyielding faith in the Word of God.
He cautioned against seeking wealth and success through alternative means, such as consulting shrines or relying on earthly powers, emphasizing that true prosperity comes only from God.
Citing Genesis, Apostle Appiah illustrated how God utilized His Word to create the universe, underscoring the unmatched authority of divine scripture over all forces in existence.
He pointed out that many individuals turn to alternative sources for help during trying times, only to find that these avenues lead to disappointment.
“The power of Satan, nor any earthly being, holds the keys to your problems; only the Word of God has that authority,” he stated, urging the congregation to allow scripture to guide their lives.
The atmosphere during the conference was electrified as Apostle Appiah urged attendees to dismiss any reliance on satanic forces for personal gain.
He boldly declared that even Satan is aware of its ultimate subjugation to the authority of God’s Word.
This proclamation resonated deeply with the congregation, who were called to reject all forms of deception and embrace the light of scripture.
In his closing remarks, Apostle Appiah called upon Ghanaians, particularly Christians, to undergo a transformation of mindset—detaching from negative habits and wholeheartedly embracing the Word of God.
This shift, he argued, is imperative for safeguarding their souls from destruction and achieving a life marked by faith and fulfillment.
The “September to Remember” conference promises to be a significant event for many, combining prayer, worship, and gospel music aimed at drawing souls into the vineyard of the Lord.
With the participation of distinguished personalities in the Christian community, the conference serves as a beacon of hope for believers seeking to strengthen their faith and experience the life-changing power of God’s Word.
Through the words of Apostle John K Appiah, Ghanaians are reminded of the profound truth that when one relies on the Word of God, they become equipped to face life’s challenges with unshakeable faith and resilience. It is a call to all Christ-followers to deepen their trust in the scriptures, allowing them to be the guiding light in their journey towards a transformed life.
